Book cover illustration

For this fun project I was commissioned by Human & Rousseau Publishers to illustrate the cover of Troula Goosen’s book, “Die Sproetebessies en die skedel in die spookmis”. The brief was to illustrate the three main characters of the book in front of a waterfall in the shape of a skull, surrounded by lush plants, with yellow roses and elements from the story in the border of the design. The story is written in Afrikaans and aimed at teenage girls. Although the skull illustration was challenging I had a lot of fun with this one!
